    • Driller

      Job Type: Full-time

      Duties & Responsibilities:

      • Skillfully operates heavy equipment including large drilling and boring machines.
      • Works with drilling crew to traverse worksite and drill specific holes where directed.
      • Transports, prepares and stabilizes earth drilling equipment.
      • Measures dimensions of work area.
      • Identifies the optimal drill bit for each job and changes equipment as necessary.
      • Understands and controls the velocity and depth at which the hole is drilled.
      • Develops, maintains and documents the geology, such as mineral deposits, of area where drilling is occurring.
      • Ensures that drill machinery is properly maintained.
      • Assists with the placement of explosives as requested on mining or construction sites.
      • Performs other related duties as assigned.

       

      Required Skills & Abilities:

      • Understanding of rock and soil conditions.
      • Ability to choose the correct tools for the specific job.
      • Thorough understanding of large machines, including how to operate and maintain them safely, efficiently, and effectively.

       

      Education & Experience:

      • MSHA 24-hour training
      • 1 year drilling experience

       

      Physical Requirements:

      • Prolonged periods working with large and possibly noisy equipment.
      • Must have excellent depth perception, hearing and manual dexterity to operate all machines safely.
      • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. at a time.

    • Surface Maintenance Mechanic

      Job Type: Full-time

      Duties & Responsibilities:

      • Performs preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines.
      • Thoroughly cleans machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary.
      • Oils and lubricates moving parts on machines to ensure effective performance.
      • Records and reports damaged, worn, or broken parts.
      • Orders and installs replacement parts for machines.
      • Identifies the causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines.
      • Repairs broken machines quickly and efficiently.
      • Prepares reports documenting work performed.
      • Cleans, organizes, inventories, stocks, and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies.
      • Coordinates with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines.
      • Collaborates with product manager or plant engineer regarding new products being added and modifications that will be required.
      • Makes necessary modifications and implements tests runs; confers with product manager regarding test results and makes additional alterations to machinery as required.
      • Performs other related duties as assigned.

       

      Education & Experience:

      • MSHA 24-hour training
      • 1-year experience

       

      Physical Requirements:

      • Prolonged periods standing and walking.
      • Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery.
      • Must be able to visually inspect machines.
      • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

    • Rock Truck Driver

      Job Type: Full-time

      Duties & Responsibilities:

      • Transports loads safely and in a timely manner over required route, obeying all traffic laws and observing all safety regulations.
      • Deftly maneuvers truck into loading and unloading areas; follows loading crew signals.
      • Facilitates routine service on trucks, which may include checking oil, water, diesel, and air, reports maintenance malfunctions to Supervisor.
      • Arranges truck in load/unload yards for optimum loading patterns.
      • Performs other related duties as assigned.

       

      Education & Experience:

      • MSHA 24-hour training
      • 6 months experience

       

      Physical Requirements:

      • Prolonged periods sitting in a cab.
      • Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds at a time.
